We’ll cover a different major science theme each month. Each week will be different and include specific activities, experiments and crafts developed for the monthly science theme and each age group, much like school-site after school programs.
The name “After School Science Club” underscores the goal of the program: to have tons of hands-on fun every week while exploring a variety of topics that cover broad science areas like biology, geology, chemistry, physics and engineering.
Like YSI’s own school day programs, the After School Science Club curricula are designed to complement California State Science Standards, which means YSI programs supplement and support what each child should be learning in science.
Our After School Science Club Instructors and Aides will continue to give individual attention to each student when needed, to ensure a fun and positive learning experience for all.
